On November 7, 2023, the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2023 was grandly opened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The theme of this Summit is Creating the Right Outcomes: Universities and the Future of Work in the Asia Pacific. This Summit lasted for 3 days, hosted by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and co-hosted by Applied Science Private University (ASU). As an internationally renowned education summit, this event has nearly a hundred global universities participating. Macau University of Science and Technology has also attracted widespread attention for its outstanding teaching and research capabilities.
Prof. Aliana Man Wai Leong, Associate Vice-president of M.U.S.T. and Dean of SLA, participated in this education exhibition with colleagues from School of Liberal Arts, the University International College and the Admission Office, and introduced in detail the educational characteristics, development concepts, innovative education models and international exchange projects of Macau University of Science and Technology to exhibitors from various Asian countries. She emphasized M.U.S.T.’s efforts in providing high-level educational resources and cultivating outstanding talents with an international perspective.

Malaysian prince Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tuanku Muhriz was accompanied by Associate Vice-president of M.U.S.T. Aliana Man Wai Leong in his visit of the M.U.S.T. booth. This is an affirmation of Macau University of Science and Technology’s continuous efforts and recognition of its important contribution in the field of science and technology education. Associate Vice-president Leong introduced the school’s latest research results and innovative teaching models in the fields of digital learning, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and space to the prince. The prince was particularly concerned about the school’s educational exploration and practice in emerging technologies such as AI. He had high hopes for the development of this field.

At the M.U.S.T. booth, the prince spoke highly of the university’s efforts in science and technology education and encouraged the school to continue to promote innovation and development in science and technology education. Associate Vice-president Leong also presented a special souvenir of the school to the prince at the event to express her gratitude for his presence.
