Representatives from Malaysian higher-educational institutions visited Macau University of Science and Technology in the morning of October 30, 2023. They were warmly received by Prof. Aliana Man Wai Leong, Associate Vice-president of M.U.S.T. and Dean of the SLA, Prof. Tang Huajun, Assistant Dean of the School of Business, Kou Chon Fai, Faculty Secretary of the SLA, and Lee In Fong, Faculty Secretary of Faculty of Innovation Engineering.

During the meeting, Associate Vice President Leong extended a warm welcome to representatives from Malaysian higher-educational institutions. She also introduced M.U.S.T.’s current research and education development directions and outlined the college construction and discipline characteristics. The University was committed to cultivating outstanding talents in various professional fields to in line with future development trends. At the same time, it also actively promoted international exchanges and cooperation with higher-educational institutions in various regions. The University hoped that this meeting could further enhance cooperation between institutions in the two places, expand and promote cooperation in the fields of technology and management, and promote common development and friendly relations between the two parties.

In this meeting, Esther Low, Marketing Director at Education Malaysia Global Services, said that the friendship between Malaysia and China has always been profound, but our higher-educational exchanges with Macao are relatively new. Therefore, she invited the three major higher-educational institutions in Malaysia to visit M.U.S.T. in order to further understand the recent development of the Macao region and M.U.S.T. She hoped to gain more international cooperation opportunities through this meeting.

Prof. Razali Yaakob, representative of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Prof. Hooy Chee Wooi, representative of Universiti Sains Malaysia, and Associate Professor Tan Chou Yong, representative of Universiti Malaya have introduced the structure, overview, scientific research and future development trends of their universities. They also provided information content such as bachelor's degree and post-baccalaureate courses, teachers and scientific research center equipment in various professional fields, programs of international students and exchange students, other international exchange activities, training courses co-organized with different institutions and companies. They strived to promote exchange opportunities with various regions.

Assistant Dean Tang Huajun introduced the faculty qualifications and student enrollment situation of the School of Business, which has established bachelor's and postgraduate programs in multiple fields, as well as diverse academic research centers. It also achieved excellent results in THE rankings. In 2023, it has earned the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) international accreditation, which served as an authoritative certification in business education and social impact research of the M.U.S.T. School of Business. He hoped that both parties would have more cooperation opportunities in the future.

Faculty Secretary Lee In Fong introduced the academic construction, scientific research and development of the Faculty of Innovation Engineering, and hoped to further cooperate and exchange with universities in various regions in the future.
