In order to promote exchanges and cooperation between higher education in Macao and Thailand, and encourage Thai students to study in Macao, perform academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation, etc. Aliana Man Wai Leong, Associate Vice-President of Macau University of Science and Technology, and representatives from the Admission Office participated in the Thai admissions exchange activities for Macau higher education institutions organized by the Education and Youth Development Bureau. The delegation visited Thai universities, Chinese education groups and participated in local international education expos. During this exchange, Associate Vice-president Aliana Man Wai Leong comprehensively introduced the latest development of M.U.S.T. to various universities and groups, and signed cooperation agreements to strengthen the internationalization and cooperation of universities.
During the visit, under the witness of Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau Teng Sio Hong, Macau University of Science and Technology and the Chinese Teachers (Thailand) Association signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in higher education between the two places, provide comprehensive information on Macao higher education platform, and provide Thai students with more opportunities and choices for further studies. The Chinese Teachers (Thailand) Association was established in 1979. It is composed of Chinese teachers of 128 Chinese schools in Thailand, with the main goal of promoting the development of local Chinese culture and education.

In addition, the delegation also visited Chulalongkorn University, Asian Institute of Technology, Thai Alumni Association of China's Universities. During the discussion and exchange, Associate Vice-president Aliana Man Wai Leong mainly introduced the development and scientific research advantages of M.U.S.T. in recent years and strengthened exchanges and cooperation between the university and Thai universities to enhance the international development trend of universities. During the visit, the delegation also discussed cooperation opportunities in activities such as higher education admission, teacher training and student exchanges, and expanded areas of cooperation in academic and scientific research.

Lastly, the delegation went to Concordian International School in Bangkok and participate in Thailand’s largest education exhibition, OCSC International Education Expo 2024, to further expands promotional activities for Thai students to study in Macao.
Associate Vice-president Aliana Man Wai Leong said that this Thai admissions exchange activities organized by the Education Youth Bureau would help the international development of the University and attract Thai students to study or exchange in Macao. This visit has achieved positive results by virtue of the warm welcome of the different universities and organizations. She hoped to continue to strengthen exchanges, mutual assistance and cooperation, and expand the international network of universities in the future.
