During September 25 to 27, 2023, Associate Vice-president Aliana Man Wai Leong went to Australia to attend the Times Higher Education World Academic Summit. She communicated with many experts and scholars in the international higher education sector, and also met with colleagues from Times Higher Education on data issues.

During the Summit, Associate Vice-president Aliana Man Wai Leong met with the leaders of University of Sydney, James Cook University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, University of California, Davis and University of California, Riverside, and New York University Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi University in terms of teacher exchanges, student exchanges, scientific research cooperation, etc. Leaders from Abu Dhabi Campus, Abu Dhabi University, Kindai University, University of Portsmouth and other universities to conducted discussions. She also attended a number of panel discussions and expert symposiums on "University governance in a rapidly changing world".

The theme of this Summit is "Collaborating for greatness in a multidisciplinary world”. This event is hosted by the University of Sydney. Over 600 international higher education experts and scholars from more than 50 countries and regions discussed on four major topics: "Promoting gender equity and diversity", "increasing cross-sector partnerships", "integrating multidisciplinary research initiatives" and "adopting new methods of teaching and learning".
