The dual-degree program between M.U.S.T. SLA and Henley Business School of University of Reading enables students to gain two different degrees by studying in two top universities for two years each. Students will gain a more comprehensive international vision and academic experience. A unique learning opportunity is provided. This project does not only strengthen the cooperation between the two universities, but also opens the door for students to global academic and professional development. Last September, four students of SLA, Liu Chenhao, Mo Xiaoqiao, Pan Yan and Zhou Yuxuan, participated in the relevant project. All four students have recently won the Vice Chancellor Global Scholarship Award of the University of Reading, which is an affirmation of their academic achievements in Macao and an encouragement for their future studies at the University of Reading.
The University of Reading Vice Chancellor Global Scholarship Award is a scholarship program for undergraduate international students. It supports talented international students by reducing their financial burden through scholarships, allowing them to focus on their academic pursuits. The award of this scholarship is a recognition of students' past academic achievements and an affirmation of their future potential. Only 20 quotas are given to the East Asia region, and four students from the cooperation project between M.U.S.T. SLA and Henley Business School of University of Reading have won this honor. Each winning student will receive a scholarship of 4,000 pounds.
Pan Yan, one of the student representatives of the program, shared his joy, “When I received a congratulatory email from scholarship manager Amy Keighley and learned that I had won this scholarship, I felt very honored. This is not only a recognition of my first two years of learning at the School of Liberal Arts at the Macau University of Science and Technology, but also an encouragement for my future studies at the Henley Business School at the University of Reading. This scholarship has strengthened my motivation and confidence in my future study and life in the UK.”
Professor Aliana Man Wai Leong, Associate Vice-president of M.U.S.T and Dean of SLA, said, “This is a demonstration of the high-quality education of M.U.S.T and the excellence of its students on the international stage by its students. M.U.S.T congratulates these four students on their achievements and looks forward to their better achievements in their future academic journey.”
